To absolve my error, I offer this soothing quote from Jeff Jarvis, the web journalism superhero over at Buzz Machine. In this amazing transcript, Jarvis weighed in alongside a few other web gurus about the comments section debate, but this was my favorite aspirational quote:
"My readers are my editors. They're also my reporters. See how Steve Baker and Heather Green at blogspotting.net (a Business Week blog) ask their readers for input and questions and information before they write their stories."
