Welcome to ThePublishingSpot, a writing resource built on a simple premise: with blogging, podcasting, and web publications, there has never been a better time for writers to find their audiences. If you are reading this, most likely you want to get published. Starting right now, we're going to work together and get published.
My name is Jason Boog. After two years in Peace Corps Guatemala, I came to New York City. I spent a year and a half at New York University Journalism School, and I now work as a freelance journalist, Ziff Davis stringer, and something resembling a novelist.
More importantly, I've survived the last three years in the rough and tumble New York City publishing scene, earning friends all over the publishing world. Here at ThePublishingSpot, I'll help you find the resources you need, share the wisdom of my friends, and comb the Internet for nuggets of publishing gold.

Jason, welcome to the team! I am looking forward to learning more about publishing. I guess that is kind of important for me to learn, since we are now publishers!

Jason, it looks like good stuff. We are thrilled to have you "publishing" on Know More Media and sharing the love (and knowledge). The more stringers the merrier.

Welcome Jason, I look forward to your insights and contributions.
So, being a selfish entrepreneur, how can I learn more about magalogues?
I've got a bunch of people asking about producing magalogues.

Tim, Hal, and Easton, thanks for the warm welcome. I already feel at home here.
James, this is the best article I've seen so far about magalogs, published in the Ryerson Review of Journalism.
This Direct Marketing Center article provides some straightforward advice as well.

Hey, I read that you were taking a few weeks to talk to fanfiction writers. Well, I figured that I'd try to get a hold of you. My name is Kimberly Jeffries, I'm a Harry Potter fanfiction writer, based mostly in Slash Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy mostly. If your still talking to writers, I'd love to answer any questions you have.
Sincerely,
Kimberly
