
I'm looking forward to hearing what Glocer has to say, as I loved his interview with John Battelle. Last month Butterworth threw some darts at the blogging balloon bunch in a smart Financial Times story. In addition, he built this blog to answer questions from readers--a brand new experiment for his newspaper.
This morning's multi-billion dollar sale rocked writers around the country. The buyers will sell 12 Knight-Ridder papers and chop untold jobs in the process. That's sad news for all writers, from bloggers to newspaper reporters. The old economy supporting writers is in big trouble, and even though I'm blogging, I'm not going to sit around cheering about the death of old media.
I'm hoping this online conversation will help me sort out my future too...
