Blogging HIV/AIDS Stories
diary_text_01.jpg While our week-long interview with activist and writer Michael McColly has focused on HIV/AIDS groups, there are many personal websites that record stories about living with HIV.

"Less Than 50" is a tough LiveJournal where an HIV-positive blogger describes all aspects of his life, from medication battles to funny musings about life.

Over at From the Ashes, a New Yorker named Tom writes about his mid-life struggle with HIV, building a web-based community with his thoughtful, quality posts.

Tom pointed me towards Rage, Rage Against the Dying of the Light, where a British blogger writes about bluntly about how his life changed after he tested HIV-positive. Lines like these help others on the same journey, writing about his own identity struggles:

"It's a slight shift of thinking to go from the virus being something that threatens to destroy everything I have (which it never did, but I think we all have that fear somewhere) to being something that opens up doors for you."
