Separating the Sheep from the Goats

For the last six years, BreedingGround Productions put together stage shows, films, and other projects in Brooklyn. Over the weekend, they launched a stylish edition of their publication, ReadingGround.

If you are looking for a good place to start, check out Kate Rogers' essay. Kate has a blog on the BreedingGround site too, writing about squirrels named Suzy and other things. Full disclosure: I attend cheesy horror movie screenings with Kate on a fairly regular basis.

Check out Tomi Tsunoda's work too. Most recently, she directed Testify, a reading series that shapes real Congressional testimony into a dramatic story. I saw the CIA leak edition of Testify a couple weeks ago, and left the show a BreedingGround convert.

Why do I blabber on about all this? Because BreedingGround is the the future of web content. We need to be hybrid, collaborative writers. Nobody can make it all by themselves with the insane pace of online publishing...
