Today I finally caught up with my Erika Dreifus reading for the week, and I felt guilty for not sharing her some of her recent wisdom.

Adams Media is looking for stories about women with tattoos, seeking stories about clean-cut girls with ladybugs on their ankles to biker women with dragon tails curling around their shoulders. Get the lowdown here...

Then, starving New York poets can compete with cubicle-bound sonnet-writers in the the Being At Work Poetry Challenge. The contest even has its own website.

Most importantly, Dreifus publishes an updated version of The Practicing Writer's Guide to No-Cost Literary Contests and Competitions twice a year, with over 200 places where writers can try and pay the bills.

I found great news and I want to know if it’s true. Did Erika accept a full-time writing position at the City University of New York (CUNY) in New York City? She will continue to serve as an Interdisciplinary Advisor in the Lesley University Low-Residency MFA Program in Creative Writing?
