If you have a clear idea of what you want to write next, but need the time to do it--well then, I've got a link for you...
For a small application fee, you can apply for a month-long escape from your job, home, and everyday distractions at the New England Millay Colony for artists:
"The Millay Colony for the Arts hosts writers, visual artists, and composers of all ages and in all stages of their artistic career. Groups of six to seven artists representing various disciplines are invited for month-long residencies at the Colony between the months of April and November. The Colony provides each resident a private room and studio, and meals. There are no fees charged for a residency."
Right now, that sort of creative escape sounds perfect. Where do you go to write? Should we flee to quiet, empty places to write or should we stay among normal people to write?

This could be great for some people. I like to be totally alone in silence to write. Of course any distraction to put off the writing, such as letting the dog out, doing laundry, getting a drink always seems to pop up. I like to go somewhere and hide, a coffee shop where no one knows me, or being home alone and scheduling the time in my calander as writing time works for me. I am interested to hear how others focus.
