Clarion, the country's best science fiction writing workshop, has re-opened for business this year in my homeland of Michigan. One of the workshop members, Alex Wilson just published a big round-up of all the new writers plugging away in East Lansing. The workshop is headlined by Samuel R. Delany and one of my favorite short story writers, Kelly Link. Wilson's post gives a bird's eye view at the workshop process and most of the writers keep fabulous blogs, so you should check it out...
"I've been able to meet and/or read about (all online) a good quarter of the students prior to the announcement. I'll add more websites as I find and/or get to them, and probably put up a Clarion sidebar on this journal.
"So I'm now aware of the experience of this group, and I find myself almost as equally intimidated by my fellow students as I am of my instructors."
