Jeff VanderMeer is one of the first writers to support The Publishing Spot, and we won't forget it. Besides that, he's a web-savvy speculative fiction writer offering book and music recommendations, exercise tips and plenty of writing advice over at Vanderworld.

Jeff just published a novel and wants to celebrate--all the fledgling writers in New York should stop by and mingle. Check it out:

Author's Note: I'm on vacation this week. I was too swamped to line up guest writers to cover the blog while I was gone. So, I decided to steer you to a different superhero from my blogroll every day--featuring the work of my favorite web writing writers.
