I Like Paper: Hardboiled Links from a Hardboiled Writer

After publishing her Mexican-wrestling detective story Hoodtown, Christa Faust built a solid reputation with the hardboiled set. Today, through her LiveJournal and Snakes on a Plane novelization, Faust has found an army of fans who write glowing tributes, like this young muscian named Matt Barr:

"I am currently reading her novelization and I must say, “After reading the interview, and seeing all the photos of her, Christa Faust is the perfect person to write the book. It takes someone who is: a fan of Mexican wrestling, a pop culture fan, intelligent, fun, AND a beautiful woman, to write such a book."

Writer’s blogs I read regularly include Poppy Z. Brite and Sarah Weinman.

Other than that, I have to admit that I spend very little time on the Internet. What can I say? I like paper. Preferably cheap, yellowed pulp paper.
