It was kind of like the writer quoted The Blair Witch Project in a newspaper trend piece about the dangers of camping. Copyblogger and Chartreuse both have strong opinions about the mess, and the paper has since retracted the post.
It's a downright educational read. Make jokes, not flame wars! Check it out:
"[I]t says right next to the post that Melissa lives in New York. I wish that I had put even more identifying features in the post, like:
"So as I'm writing this, I'm at my apartment building in Chicago, which is not in New York . It's hazy outside and the Chicago White Sox are playing like crap, which really bugs me. I went to a World Series game last year by the way. See? Anyway, I'm hungry for dinner but I've got to write this blog post first after I finish writing my other blog, Zulkey.com, which is named after my last name. Which is Zulkey."

Claire's post was the perfect response to a bad situation, and made her come out looking even better. But keep in mind that we corresponded heavily before either of us posted, and I was more than happy to play bad cop so she wouldn't have to. So don't assume that she wasn't upset.
And really, I thought my post was rather polite, actually. :)
