Ed Champion just launched a virtual roundtable discussion on his website, using the combined wisdom of three readers to analyze Richard Powers' new novel, The Echo Maker. On Friday, the author himself will weigh in on the novel.

All three writers in the first installment are smart readers--riffing off each other rather than sermonizing. They include: multimedia designer and artist Judith Zissman, the "unrepentant" book nerd Jessica Stockton, and mystery writer and expert Sarah Weinman.

You only get better at writing by reading, and these discussions will change the way you read. Check it out:
