If you enjoy this writing advice, you should check out The Prairie Poet blog, where the writer named Ardith is spreading her poetic wings.
Check it out, the big secret:
"'I write--something. Every day. This is how I start my day. Even if it's only for a few minutes at first. I get started. Every day. I get breakfast, I write. I eat peanut butter toast and I write.'
"'But I'm too busy.'
"So I smiled, gave Ms. Too Busy my card, a few more tips, and wished her well.
"I suspect that if I run into Ms. Too Busy again, she'll be warbling about wanting to be a writer, and complaining about how hard it is to break in."

Though I trade the toast for black coffee and a punching bag, Ardith is right...
Gotta look at it like a tradesman does.
