This user-driven model could revolutionize a news organization. I've seen this promising idea illustrated at the website, Newsvine. Over there, a young journalist named Corey Spring is reporting on an elevator disaster at Ohio State.
He posted his initial findings, and then, a series of over 30 community comments helped fill in the legal and historical implications of the event. That's what we could have if the Digg sells to a creative news organization--interactive, community-driven, and constantly evolving journalism.
In this Newsvine thread, the community is discussing the possibilities of this new model--one of the most important conversations for fledgling writers to be having today. What do you think? How can we reach this goal?

Five years from now, news will be delivered to your desktop-as you want it. Podcasts, Video, you will just subscribe to what you want. All news is now added to RSS and all you will have to do is click on the link to see what you want- ignore what is dull.
