I completely missed the fact that the world's biggest e-book publishing challenge was happening right under my nose. I'm worried that some of my readers might have missed this wonderful opportunity too.
Reader Bill Peschel alerted me that earlier this year, the writing guru Lynn Viehl had challenged her Paperback Writer readers: "[to] write and publish a new short story, novelette, novella, or novel of your own in e-book form and post it for download on your weblog, web site, or any host site on October 31, 2006."
Peschel and over fifty other authors met this goal. There's science fiction, fantasy, thrillers, and all other kinds of novels in there, and it's all free. If you or anybody you know missed this challenge, please send them my way. I would be proud to link, as Paperback Writer did, to your work.
