On this rainy Sunday afternoon, I wanted to take a look back at what happened on The Publishing Spot this week...

We discovered a goldmine of resources for freelancers over at About.com.

First we hosted the 1,000,000th visitor to the Know More Media blogs, then we inexplicably hosted the 2,000,000th vistor too.

We composed the Great Music for Writing List.

Along with Copyblogger, we looked at ways to avoid spammy language in your web writings. Reader Andy Beard added a clarifying note to the discussion: "The 2 sites in question were being judged on whether they have committed a trademark violation based on what the website looked like, and not the content, or value of the service provided (to the community as a whole)."
