Continuing with our tireless support of National Novel Writing Month writers, here's a writing toolkit straight from NPR.

That artsy-craftsy news organization asked writers with three simple, practical questions: How do you schedule writing time? How do you beat writers' block? What's your favorite sentence?

Just like this website, they are dedicated to practical, no-nonsense writing advice. The moral is simple: Don't sit there and wonder what you're going to write. Just write!

"Writing a novel is a lot like riding a bike. A bike with no brakes and no gears. You've got one flat tire. Maybe two. If you're on a tricycle, you definitely have three flat tires.
