Could you fit in my suitcase? I hope so, because you're coming with me.
Early next year I'm taking a trip to Guatemala, my favorite country in Central America. I lived there for two wonderful years, and I'm going back to write some stories. Problem is, I haven't picked my stories yet.
I want to take you with me--with pictures, video, and more. I'm constantly defending citizen journalism, and I have an open source offer for my readers. What do you want to know about Guatemala? Ask me about big problems or something simple you'd like to know.
Feed me your questions, and I'll do my best to answer them. If you're looking for inspiration, check out Xeni Jardin's work on her blog. I've read her Guatemala reporting for years, and she always gives me new ideas.
Here's a video she took this week:

What a wonderful, rare thing it is to see video with no commentary. Guatemala is now on my wish list. And maybe, if I'm lucky enough to go there, I'll do like the video and try to do less talking and commentary and more looking and listening.
