Over at Smith Magazine, Larry Smith just answered that question for writers.
He showed me an obsessive new creative writing site, and I love linking to obsessive writers. The crazy folks over at Word Count Journal have a new plan that could--theoretically--have you writing 300 words of your novel every night by the end of the year. It sounds easy and tough at the same time.
But it might just do the trick for all the writers finishing their novels out there. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Check it out:
"The big idea is a little one: you write one word your first day, two words the second, three words the third … one year later, you’ve written 66,795 words (more words than many books). The site allows for photos with each entry and either public or private access."
Anybody interested? I might come with you...
