I'm the worst name-maker-upper I know. On every page of my novel, I struggle with character's names--trying to come up with organic, yet wonderful-sounding, names for the people populating my book.Today, BoingBoing pointed me towards a great name-making resource. The young adult writer--Scott Westerfeld just wrote a great essay about how he made the names for his Uglies series--a negative utopian trilogy about a world where everybody is beautiful.
