Do you know a techno-phobic baby boomer writer who needs your help with digital publishing?
I don't spend too much time thinking about demographics here at The Publishing Spot, but a blog post just reminded us about baby boomer writers who may need help crossing the Internet divide.
Author Lisa Haneberg just wrote an essay about what writers want for Christmas. After thinking about the most popular wishes--publishing a book, finishing a book, or finding a writing job--she had some honest, reflective things to say about baby boomer writers.
"How will people come to be writers? I am in an MFA program at Goddard because I felt I lacked a foundation in writing education. An MFA is certainly not needed to get published. As the Baby Boomers continue to search within themselves (present company included), I think we will see a big wave of them jumping into writing. It won't be easy - these boomers need to become technologically savvy to build a good online presence."

I would love to see more baby boomers come online. I write a blog, but most of my friends know nothing and care nothing for blogs.
